The 132kV high-voltage transmission steel poles designed and manufactured by Jiangsu Milky Way Steel Poles Co., Ltd. for Pakistan have recently passed the rigorous full-scale testing at the “Transmission Line Tower Testing Center,” a key laboratory of the State Grid Corporation of China. All test items were successfully passed in a single attempt, marking a significant achievement that demonstrates the product’s compliance with international standards in terms of structural safety, load-bearing capacity, and environmental adaptability.

Unlike conventional laboratory or model testing, full-scale testing is widely recognized as the most stringent and authoritative method for verifying tower structures in the power industry. It requires using full-size prototypes that exactly match the actual engineering application in terms of dimensions, materials, and manufacturing processes. These prototypes are subjected to simulated real-world load conditions at specialized test facilities to comprehensively evaluate their ultimate load capacity and failure modes.

During this full-scale test, the 132kV transmission steel poles from Milky Way Steel Poles underwent the following evaluations:

Extreme Load Simulation: In accordance with international standards and target market requirements, the poles were subjected to a combination of vertical loads, horizontal wind loads, and broken wire tension loads that significantly exceeded design operating values.

Harsh Environmental Assessment: The test took into account severe environmental conditions such as typhoons and high salinity corrosion, which may be encountered in the target application region.

Comprehensive Monitoring and Evaluation: An advanced sensor network was used to monitor and analyze key parameters in real time, including stress distribution, displacement, and local stability throughout the loading process.
