Recently, Phase I of the MTerra Solar Project in the Philippines, the world’s largest single-site solar-storage integrated project, has officially connected to the grid and commenced operation, marking a major milestone in the construction of this world-class new energy project.
    Jiangsu Yinhe Steel Pole Co., Ltd. is responsible for the design, production and supply of all steel structures for the project. Leveraging intelligent manufacturing capabilities and superior product quality, the company has built a solid steel structure foundation for this mega solar-storage power station. Located on Luzon Island in the Philippines, the MTerra Solar Project is developed by an entity under Meralco. It is planned with a total capacity of 3.5GWp photovoltaic power paired with a large-capacity energy storage system of 4.5GWh, with a total investment of approximately 4 billion US dollars.
    Situated in a tropical monsoon zone, the project area features year-round high temperature and humidity, coupled with frequent typhoons. This imposes stringent requirements on the anti-corrosion performance, structural strength, wind resistance and bulk delivery capacity of photovoltaic support steel structures. Faced with multiple challenges including the enormous project scale, overseas technical specifications and short delivery cycle, the project team of Jiangsu Yinhe Steel Pole conducted in-depth early engagement. The team completed customized design, load calculation and process optimization for the full set of steel structures, fully adapting to the complex local working conditions featuring typhoons, heavy rainfall and high humidity. Relying on the enterprise’s intelligent manufacturing production lines and strictly implementing the quality control system for overseas projects, closed-loop management covers the entire process from raw material incoming inspection, production and processing, hot-dip galvanizing anti-corrosion treatment to finished product testing. This ensures high-precision and high-standard production of large batches of steel components, completes manufacturing and full product delivery on schedule, and provides strong support for on-site construction and installation.
