Recently, with the successful dispatch of the final batch of 230 kV transmission towers from the factory, the Company has fully completed the delivery of a key project for the Ethiopian National Grid. This milestone marks another significant achievement by the Group in the field of international power-infrastructure development, demonstrating in practice the commitment to the Belt and Road Initiative and contributing Chinese expertise and strength to the modernization of Africa’s power sector.
The project is a critical component of Ethiopia’s national grid upgrade program, comprising more than 200 units of 230 kV transmission towers and covering a total line length of over 80 kilometers. In the face of stringent technical standards, complex logistics, and a demanding project schedule, the project team fully leveraged the Group’s three decades of experience in power-tower manufacturing and its advantages in intelligent manufacturing. From detailed engineering design and material procurement to production and quality inspection, all activities were carried out in strict compliance with international standards and the client’s technical specifications.
The Company operates advanced intelligent production lines, integrating digital welding systems and 3D simulation technologies to ensure that the dimensional accuracy and structural strength of each tower fully meet design requirements. Throughout project execution, a full-process quality traceability system was implemented, enabling complete traceability of every batch of materials and every production step. Adhering to a “zero-defect” quality philosophy, the project earned high recognition from the power utility and supervising engineers.
Despite tight conditions in international shipping, the logistics team carefully planned transportation solutions to ensure that all tower components arrived at site on schedule.
The successful delivery of this project represents not only the export of high-quality products, but also a successful validation of the Group’s intelligent and digital transformation in the international market.
